My story
96 mile West Highland Way hike for two charities.
Dear friends,
Thaer, Andy, Dave and Dom are walking the West Highland Way in beautiful bonny Scotland this September to raise money equally for 2 charities:
My Name’5 Doddie. A charity set up by Doddie Weir, the famous Scottish rugby player, to raise funds to find a cure for motor neuron disease.
..and..
Thaer, being half Palestinian and born a refugee, this is a charity very dear to his heart. MAP (Medical Aid For Palestinians). A charity working for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation as refugees.
All 4 of us are 50 something slightly creaking ex-rugby players so the 96 mile hike will be a test!!

Another successful training weekend for Andy and Thaer. This time in the hills around Bristol. Not long now till we fly to Scotland.
Two days back to back walking in the Peak District as part of our WHW training. Lots of good experience with Torrential rain. Hail. Wind. Sun. Thunder !
