Laura Jenkinson is raising money for Skcin and Melanoma Focus
In 2008 we lost my mum to Melanoma when she was 54.
This year it's returned to our family.
I had a pink spot that came up on my arm that didn't go away.
This was melanoma, the same skin cancer that took my mum away.
There are now new treatments that save lives and a whole lot more hope.
That's all down to research and trials.
100 miles in may will be my way of helping to support their research and also raise awareness.
Melanoma doesn't only present in an existing mole but like mine a pink spot on the skin that didn't go away.
The skin is the largest organ of our bodies and it's one that people forget to protect.
Thank you for taking the time to read why I'm taking on this challenge.
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Skcin and Melanoma Focus.
