My story
I'm running the 108-mile Montane Winter Spine Challenger ultra-marathon in harsh Pennine Way winter conditions to raise funds for Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England (MRSDE).
As an 8-year operational search dog handler with SD Flo and SD Hope, I've seen dogs' lifesaving impact firsthand: 4 notable finds, hundreds of callouts across Peak District, Lake District, North East, and North Wales. They clear vast areas for Search Managers, and excel in any weather—outpacing tech with unmatched nose, instincts, and endurance.
MRSDE, a zero-government-funded charity, trains and supports these dogs via monthly UK-wide intensive courses, sharing knowledge and preparing teams. Training one dog requires huge volunteer commitment and costs (accommodation, equipment, travel).
Please donate if you can – your support makes all the difference. Let's keep the search dogs running strong!!
Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England.
