Winter Walk to Witherley 2023

The Winter Walk to Witherley is now an annual event (well this is the second year we have done it so does that count?)

This is when three ladies of a certain age walk from Atherstone to Witherley, a grand total of 3 miles, to take some gifts and Christmas cheer to rescue dog Big Man Brodie and all his doggy friends at Dun-Roamin' Dog Sanctuary!

.....BUT (and we hope this makes it a little more impressive!) ... we do it pulling a 'Santa Sleigh' (well a pull along garden cart... actual real Santa Sleighs are hard to come by...but it has tinsel and all sorts!)...loaded with presents for Brodie and friends.

...AND this year just to embarass ourselves just that little bit more in the hope of either winning your sympathy, disgust or any other emotion in order to get a donation, we will be dressed as reindeer...or to be a little more precise we will be wearing pug dog costumes with antlers on (we already had the pug dog costumes so decided to improvise!)

...and we are giving this little adventure the grand title of 'THREE OLD DEARS (deers..get it!) PULLING A SLEIGH'

On a serious note all money raised will go directly to Dun Roamin' Dog Sanctuary to help pay Big Man Brodies bills at the Sanctuary and help Dun Roamin' keep doing the fantastic work they do saving dogs discarded by society and giving them a life worth living with love and respect.

Brodie is a dog we three old dears helped to save from an uncertain future, managing to find him a place with Ian at Dun Roamin' where Brodie has blossomed ever since!
