Work-Out for Waste Warriors

Support CLEAR's Waste Warrior Project in Java empowering villagers to set up waste banks and stop plastic pollution on land and sea. Plastics are a global problem. I do what I can at home and support national and international action. I’m a trustee at CLEAR and invite you to sponsor me.
This June, I’m aiming to:
• Run 38km
• Walk 76km and
• Cycle 152km
If you’re keen, you can join in by creating your own page and raising funds by running, cycling, or walking throughout the month of June. I based my targets on my life expectancy less my age x2, x4, and x8. What can you manage?
CLEAR is currently working with 4 villages to create teams of Waste Warriors who will take a lead on sustainable waste practices, creating and managing waste banks. Mentors from CLEAR will deliver a programme of workshops and training giving women the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need to become Waste Warriors. The funds raised by this event will help us to pay for the trainers and mentors.
We are collaborating with the Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK), a women’s organisation promoting health initiatives and village development in 66,000 villages across Indonesia. Working with their existing structures, we can ensure long-term, far-reaching impacts. Women lead on household management, are motivated about their family’s health, and in an excellent position to drive changes.
