Can you help?

During the current pandemic, many services are having to make big changes to the way they work in order to keep their services available. We have had to move all services out of our lovely Centre and into the homes of our staff team. Calls have been re-routed, IT work-arounds set up and a lot of our services are now on-line. We are doing our very best to continue to offer listening support, check-in calls, telephone counselling, peer support and activities on-line.

While our regular funders want to keep supporting our service as much as they can at this difficult time, half of our income for our running costs is generated through fundraising and regular donations. This means that when we had no choice but to close the Centre doors on Monday 16th March, our income immediately dropped by half.

We are working hard to secure funds available to charities throughout this time, as we want our service to continue to thrive and to offer vital support for many years to come. We are approaching our 25th anniversary and intend to be supporting local people affected by cancer, well into the next quarter century and beyond!

We have been asked by some of our regular supporters, if there is a way they can continue to contribute. As our regular group raffles, monthly raffles and all other fundraising activities have had to cease, we are looking for ways to counteract this for the good of the future of our service. We have therefor set up a giving page for those who would like to and are able to donate. We know that the uncertainty surrounding us right now, comes with a great deal of worry including financial concerns. We do not want those who already have financial concerns, having the extra pressure of being asked for donations so please, only donate if you are in a position to do so.
