Wycliffe College CCF - Ten Tors Event 2023

We are a group of 12 cadets from Wycliffe College CCF, who are undertaking the Ten Tors challenge on Dartmoor. We have already started our training and have now two 35 mile teams. We will walk over two days and camp on the moor, for most of us this is our first time walking and learning to navigate and we would like to at the same time give back to a charity. Before the end autumn term we had a meeting about charities which means something to us and that we are passionate about. We chose Down Syndrome Association as one of our team members sister has Down Syndrome and would like to support the charity in their work in supporting families and improving the lives of those with Down Syndrome.
A long with us training, our leader is also training for the Manchester marathon on the 16th April and will also help fundraise with us, she has completed 11 previous marathon and looking for a time close to or just under 4hrs.
