Our story
SSOHC has produced an amazing yarnbomb in Hertford and Ware: 37 Yarnlympic themed Postbox toppers to help raise funds for our charity partner, the Hertfordshire Breast Unit Appeal, who’ve been striving for over 20 years for a dedicated breast unit in Hertfordshire.
The SSOHC Yarnlympics is about Sports, Para-athletes, History and Paris, and includes well-known Parisian landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. Plus, to acknowledge the history of this sporting event, there is a chariot racer and a scene at the Acropolis. The Yarnlympics wouldn’t be complete without a fuzzy flaming cauldron, glittering medals and a woolly winners’ podium, so we made them too!

A bit more info about SSOHC’s chosen charity partner, the Hertfordshire Breast Unit Appeal:
Their aim is to help those that have been diagnosed with breast cancer by providing support and the best care to patients and their families. The appeal is now raising funds to support the new Radiotherapy Unit for Hertfordshire.
