It is our mission here at SNUG to ensure ALL neonatal parents have access to the right support, at the right time in the right place.
To do this, we need your help! We are incredibly grateful for any support you can give us, so that we can continue to support those in need.
Your donations help us:
- Provide regular peer support in the Exeter Neonatal Unit
- Provide a weekly safe space for our families to meet and speak to other parents who have been through a similar journey
- Give welcome packs to parents when they first enter the neonatal unit - including adorable keepsakes they can treasure forever!
- Ongoing support in the community and online for all families that have cared for their baby in the Neonatal Unit
- Making sure all families have information and access to all support available to them
- Advocacy for future neonatal parents, ensuring their mental and physical wellbeing is always a priority
We love to celebrate our incredible families, so we thought we would get together and parade through Exeter to shout about the amazing strength of every baby and their families, whilst raising awareness and vital funds for ongoing support
We had SO much fun last year at our fancy dress parade that we are doing it again! So come and join us in our sponsored walk!
Dig out some fun and fancy dress costumes and walk with pride in our parade!

About us
SNUG

SNUG is a charity that was founded in 2011 by a group of individuals who all shared the same goal; to offer advocacy and wrap-around support to families who have been impacted upon by a difficult pregnancy, birth or neonatal stay.
Since its inception, SNUG has become an essential resource for the South West community, supporting thousands of new families to access the ‘right support, in the right place at the right time’
There’s no question that having a baby is a life changing event. When things don’t go as planned, the whole family can be affected.
Our goal at SNUG is to ensure that all new families who have had a difficult start to parenthood have access to the support and resources they need. Originally established as a parent group, today we host a welcoming community of lived-experience volunteers who together with our skilled partners, deliver truly transformative care across the South West of England
Fundamental to everything we set out to achieve, is the concept of people and communities. Holding firm the belief that when a group of individuals get together; with openness, honesty and compassion, they can somehow find a shared wisdom and from that, effective solutions to life’s challenges organically evolve.
It is this type of community and ‘shared thinking’ that inspired our growth all those years ago and the very reason we say that every time a new family joins SNUG, the heart of SNUG just gets bigger!
