WHAT?

Firewalking is an ancient and awe-inspiring practice that has captivated people across cultures for centuries. The idea of walking barefoot over a bed of red-hot coals seems unimaginable, yet firewalking symbolizes courage, resilience, and the power of the human spirit. As individuals take that daring step onto the glowing embers, they tap into their inner strength, pushing beyond their perceived limitations. The heat radiating from the coals becomes a metaphorical furnace, burning away fears and doubts, leaving behind a renewed sense of empowerment. Firewalking is not only a physical experience but also a profound spiritual journey, connecting individuals to the primal energy of fire, igniting a transformative flame within their souls. And as they emerge from the glowing pathway, a sense of triumphant accomplishment washes over them, proving that with unwavering determination, they can conquer even the hottest of challenges.

WHY?

To raise funds to build low-cost, low-tech boreholes in Senegal.

For every £180 raised we can build a borehole for a family (in practice about 100 people benefit from each installation) that will provide sustainable access to safe water for years to come.

Our boreholes improve health and wellbeing by being a reliable source of safe water that is available when it’s needed and where it’s needed. They are used for drinking, cooking, washing, cleaning, growing fruit and veg, raising animals….

You will come away inspired, empowered, an overcomer, ready to take on future challenges that come your way.

In addition to this, each participant will receive a certificate of participation and for every £180 that you raise you’ll be the sponsor of a borehole in Senegal, for which you’ll receive a postcard with a photo of your borehole and a precise what3words address so you can see exactly where in the world you are making a difference.
