Dedicated to providing affordable and high-quality plumbing and heating services, CAFgas CIC operates with a mission to support vulnerable individuals and families while addressing critical issues like fuel poverty and community well-being.
Our Vision
At CAFgas CIC, we believe that everyone deserves access to a warm and safe home. Beyond offering essential heating services, our initiatives are designed to empower communities, alleviate financial strain, and enhance the quality of life for those most in need.
Our Services
CAFgas CIC provides a range of services, including:
Comprehensive heating and plumbing solutions for households and organisations.
Community-focused initiatives aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing household costs.
Boiler repairs and maintenance for vulnerable individuals at reduced or no cost through dedicated campaigns like Help 4 Heating.
Our Commitment to the Community
Founded by James Hunt, an injured veteran who served in Afghanistan, CAFgas CIC was built on a foundation of compassion, resilience, and community service. The organisation reinvests its profits into supporting local communities, partnering with other charities and organisations to maximise impact.
Through projects like Help 4 Heating, CAFgas CIC continues to deliver life-changing support to those in need, helping vulnerable individuals stay warm, safe, and secure in their homes.
Grand Week in Wales 2022
Event dates: Tuesday 22nd February 2022 – Tuesday 1st March 2022
Our Grand Week in Wales is an event to help key charities that support the most vulnerable in our communities across Wales and to bring people together through fundraising events, to combat isolation and spread positivity in a time when we need it most.
The name given is in recognition of Wales’ 1,000-mile circumference, and the event delivers a variety of community challenges based around the theme of 1000, all in the lead up to St David’s Day 2022 (Monday 1st March).
We are encouraging everyone, of all ages and abilities, to join in our grand Welsh activities throughout the month of February. We have set a number of challenges based around the number 1000 that you can participate in, at home, school, or on your daily exercise routine, all with COVID safety and regulations in mind. We also welcome you to come up with your own challenges on this theme to help our community and fundraise.
All monies raised for A Grand Week in Wales is distributed in the following way; 20% to Nanny Biscuit to combat food poverty, isolation and loneliness, with the remainder evenly distributed between our brilliant national partner organisations;
Green Paw Project – Tree planting and land regeneration
CAFgas CIC - Free boiler repairs for people living in fuel poverty
Fare Share – Feeding the homeless
Marie Curie – Terminal illness & bereavement
Adferiad Recovery – Addiction and mental health
YAB Wrexham – Community hub supporting vulnerable members
Blood Bikes Wales – Transportation of blood and breast milk
