Liberty Care Flintshire - Grand Week in Wales 22

Liberty Care Flintshire are raising money for Nanny Biscuit

Our story

Liberty Care Flintshire, based in Mold, provides professional individual care to adults, on a daily basis, in order to enable them to continue living, within their own Flintshire homes and communities, for as long and safely as possible. We are participating in Nanny Biscuit's Grand Week in Wales 2022 event as a Team, because that is just how we always seem to roll best together x

So far, we shall be participating and contributing in the GWIW22 events as follows:

"Grand Welsh Letters" - 488 St David's Day cards, containing snippets of generational advice and reflections, provided by some of our more senior clients, and delivered by way of cards, being distributed to children, throughout event participating schools.

"Grand Welsh Relay" - Some Liberty Health Care Practitioners, undertake their shifts on a walking round. At the conclusion of each day, a centralised recording of Practitioner Mileage will be submitted, of all such Practitioners involved, for the duration of this event.

"Grand Welsh Kindness" - Liberty Care will be submitting a centrally provided daily total, of all care visits undertaken, for the duration of this event.

Another Practitioner has also volunteered to undertake their shifts dressed as a daffodil (whilst attired in the required and appropriate PPE accordingly also, of course), on the run up, and including St Davids Day, 1st March 2022.

Liberty Care were also involved with GWIW 2021, and truly recognise and appreciate, how much these kind of integrated community engagement activities mean, for all involved, in helping to maintain a sense of being part of a much wider community, of promoting and maintaining a positive and healthy mindset and lifestyle, and in the face of such adversity sometimes also.

Liberty Care has suffered a series of painful losses recently, and it is in their memory that we continue to do this kind of stuff, always and forever x Any monies raised as a result therefore, will be donated to Nanny Biscuit upon this occasion, for further fair and equal re-distribution, back into the Communities we all serve together, and each in our own individual ways accordingly always also x

Love from all at Liberty Care x

Thank you all so very much/Diolch yn fawr pawb for your generous support over the past weeks community engagement and participation activities x Liberty Care Flintshire supported and participated with nannybiscuit.org/grand-week-in-wales We successfully produced 488 St David's Day Cards, containing snippets of generational advice and reflections, from some of our more senior clients nannybiscuit.org/grand-week-in-wales/grand-welsh-letters and distributed to children, throughout event participating schools. A number of Liberty Care practitioners were also able to participate in 2 other events nannybiscuit.org/grand-week-in-wales/grand-welsh-relay whereby 2 care practitioners were able to contribute their walked mileage (and an off-duty daffodil up and down Moel Famau), as they undertook their duties, coming to an accumulative impressive 86 miles in total, to contribute towards completing a circuit of the 1000 mile circumference of Wales. Finally, Liberty care provided daily figures and updates throughout the event, of the number of individual care visits being undertaken per day, which came to a jaw dropping accumulative total of 1251 care visits for the duration of the event nannybiscuit.org/grand-welsh-kindness Everyone has benefitted from this recent event, both clients and practitioners alike, an experience of joy, love, care, fun, humour and a sense of belonging to a much wider community, and a much needed splash of colour, in an already far to fearful, dark and serious world x Thank you all/diolch in fawr pawb x See you all again next year x
