Raising for Elayos
To celebrate its 35th anniversary, Kids Planet George Perkins is launching a fundraising initiative for Elayos, a Birmingham-based charity dedicated to improving outcomes for vulnerable families from pregnancy through the postnatal period.
About the Anniversary Initiative
• Celebrating 35 Years: Established in 1991, the nursery has provided early years care in the Birmingham community for over three decades.
• Giving Back: Transitioning from its origins as a charitable trust, the nursery is now part of the Kids Planet group and is marking this milestone by supporting local causes.
• Targeting Early Outcomes: The fundraising aligns with the nursery's mission to support child development by helping Elayos provide essential services to families from birth.
Supporting Elayos
The funds raised will directly support Elayos in their mission to provide better beginnings for children through:
• No-Cost Doula Services: Offering emotional and practical support to vulnerable or isolated birthing people in Birmingham.
• Baby Bank Support: Providing essential equipment and hospital bag items to families in need.
• Improving Birth Outcomes: Advocacy and continuity of care designed to empower parents and improve the health of both mother and child during the first three months of life.

Elayos supports vulnerable and isolated people through pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period by providing compassionate, practical and advocacy-based care. Its objectives are to deliver free Community Doula support offering continuous emotional and practical assistance; to empower clients to make informed choices about their maternity care; to reduce isolation and improve wellbeing; to provide essential baby items through its baby bank; and to connect families with wider services and community networks, ensuring every parent feels supported, informed and equipped during early parenthood.
