Kindness Counts - improving young people's wellbeing in schools and beyond

OTR is working with our education partners in Bath & North East Somerset to promote positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in mental health awareness week from May 11th - 17th.

Kindness is something everyone can have. It has a singular ability to unlock each person’s humanity, strengthening relationships, connections and helping to reduce stress and improve wellbeing.

Mental health matters for children and young people because:

• They experience a wide range of emotions as they grow, and some may struggle at times with feelings such as worry, sadness, or loneliness.
• They are finding themselves in increasingly complex environments such as social media, online gaming and a reduction in community groups and support.
• Supporting mental health early helps them build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and feel safe and understood both in and beyond the classroom.

Your fundraising or individual donation will help OTR to continue to support over 2,000 young people in schools, college, university and the community, providing early interventions with trained professionals, and helping young people aged 11 - 25 to improve their confidence, build resilience and develop kindness towards others.
