Mount Hawke Defibrillator Repairs 2023
Great news - BOTH DeFibs are back and working and ready to save lives in our village! HOWEVER - We still need to raise the funds to pay for them!! This is a long post - please read......
The VCA (Village Community Association) took the decision to use money that was fundraised to cover new play equipment in order to get the DeFibs back up working ASAP to help protect the village.
But we need to plug the gap in funding. Thank you to everyone who has got us to £769 - we need £2070 - please give what you can to help!
Please help by pledging just £1! Just one pound! If everyone who sees this post donates just £1 we would reach our target!
Our recent FB posts are being seen by over 1300 people! That's AMAZING, but we really do need you ALL to help us reach our target.
Unfortunately the minimum online donation is £5, so if you can then please click on the link and donate online!
HOWEVER - we are asking for just £1 from everyone in the village - you can donate your pound at Diane's flower shop, Londis and the TRA bar/clubhouse.

Thank you to James from Natural Spark Ltd who stepped up to get these fitted in record time! James Thomas - you are amazing!

If every household in the village donated just £1 we could reach our target. Please donate what you can - every £1 helps.

Update:
The DeFib cupboards were not vandalised or harmed deliberately. To replace and install various components, funds are required. Batteries and other electrical components have expiration dates, and as both units have seen use in emergency situations the cabinets are in need of replacement! Plus being exposed to every kind of weather our coastal village has to offer!
They are not considered operational if the batteries have expired or they are not fit for purpose as there is a risk the DeFib might not perform its intended job when needed; which puts lives at risk.

To cover TOTAl costs we have a £2070 target to get both DeFibs back up and working.
This covers all the replacement parts needed and the installation and fitting costs.

We are grateful to everyone who has contributed through Diane's Flowers and The Corner Cafe, which raised £100; as a result, we have now raised more than half of the required amount for the defibrillator fundraiser. We are grateful to everyone who has helped us thus far.
