About us
We believe that everyone is capable of achieving their potential given the right opportunity. We're a youth charity that motivates, inspires and empowers young people from disadvantaged communities through the life skills gained from Rowing, a sport uniquely placed to enable those who sit on the side-lines at PE to get active, find positive social groups and develop essential life skills through sport.
Race the Thames 2023

Rowing has the power to change lives, and thanks to people like you Race The Thames has raised valuable funds for LYR for 5 years, that has enabled us to grow and improve our support to the young people we work with. We're very proud that Active Row Life Skills is now more impactful and reaches more people then every before from communities that need this support the most - all thanks to your support. We're now helping young people to achieve their potential and break the glass ceilings around them in 4 cities / 115 schools / circa 5,000 students. Active Row Life Skills has harnessed the power of rowing and is making the difference.
