About us
The Lord’s Taverners exists to positively impact the lives of young people facing the challenges of inequality.
We work across the UK and beyond to provide inclusive and impactful cricket programmes, empowering young people with disabilities and from disadvantaged communities to develop the knowledge, skills, capabilities and confidence required to overcome the challenges of inequality, raise their aspirations and reach their potential.
The outcomes for young people delivered through our programmes and support include:
- Increased opportunities for regular participation
- More young people motivated to engage in sport
- Improved health, social and psychological wellbeing
- Volunteers, coaches and teachers empowered to deliver training sessions
The Lord’s Taverners - London Marathon
Event date: Sunday 3rd October 2021
Team Tavs has 32 runners for the London Marathon this year raising money for disabled and disadvantaged young people throughout the country. This is the first London Marathon to take place in October after the cancelled events in 2020 and should be one to remember. Taking on the traditional route starting at Blackheath and finishing on the Mall, 50,000 runners will be taking on the challenge this year.
