Run Beth Run!

Run-Hodder-Run, London Marathon 2021

Event date: 3rd October 2021

Beth Hodder is raising money for The Lord's Taverners

My story

'Training for a marathon, changes you forever' - run for a reason.

16 years since my first marathon I am excited to be back out on the tracks, running for Lord's Taverners. The impact of the pandemic has touched each and everyone of us. I felt so fortunate when our son (the one and only George Hodder, aged 10) was happily back in his sports clubs and enjoying the positive output that sport gives him both mentally and physically. Cricket is one of few favourite sports, G worked super hard to make the U11 team this summer and it gave him a sense of huge pride. My amazing dad, who's sudden death gave me the drive to run my first marathon loved cricket.

Through my many small steps over 26.2 miles I hope to raise as much money as possible to give the same opportunities to the disadvantaged and disabled young people in our communities. Sport and recreation really does help empower young people to fulfil their potential.

So, 'when your legs cannot run anymore, run with your heart'. That is exactly what I will be doing on 3rd October.

Thank you for checking out my page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto The Lord's Taverners.

Haha! Stop short of the 13 miles and I don’t even care. Long runs are done. That was the required 8 miles + a few more for pure enjoyment. Another gorgeous day I just couldn’t stop - sorry legs 😂
