These services are all offered either by telephone or on face-to-face basis by way of an office appointment or home visit.
Befriending offers support to people isolated by epilepsy to get out and about and enjoy activities that many of us take for granted, e.g. shopping, cinema, meeting for coffee.
The Befriending Project also has opportunities for responsible people with a few hours a week to spare to become volunteer befrienders. In return we provide comprehensive training, support and expenses.
Multicultural Project aims to promote awareness of epilepsy issues and provide bilingual and culturally sensitive information and support to people affected by epilepsy within ethic minority communities by staff that understand Urdu, Punjabi and Cantonese and have an in-depth understanding of other cultural perspectives.
Schools Project delivers fun, interactive talks about epilepsy to pupils of all ages and epilepsy awareness sessions for teachers and staff.
We also provide comprehensive epilepsy awareness and first aid educational packages, including the administartion of rescue medication and Heartstart training, suitable for anyone with a personal or professional interest in epilepsy.
Activities on offer from time to time include art sessions for adults, events for children, Memory workshops, Epilepsy Awareness workshops, Living Well with Epilepsy courses and meetings for special interest groups.
