190 Mile Coast to Coast Charity Walk

On the 11th of June 2012, myself and Jon Lowther will embark on a 190 mile mountainous coast to coast walk in aid of the Royal Military Police Central Benevolent Fund.

The journey will begin at the small coastal town of St Bees in the Western Lake District before ascending the mountains of Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, finally ending the momentous journey on the 26th of June at Robin Hoods Bay on the Easterly edge of Yorkshire. Each night will be spent under the stars, no matter what the conditions.

The RMP Central Benevolent Fund (CBF) is a registered charity and was established in 1944. The Fund is for people who are serving or have served in the Royal Military Police Corps, or any of its predecessors, and their dependants. They provide for those in need with cash grants for heating, funeral expenses, household furniture, debts, clothing and bedding, mobility aids, holidays, medical needs, special chairs, removals and other needs.
