Sean Ellis is raising money for Vauxhall City Farm
As some of you may be aware I am now a trustee of Vauxhall City Farm.
This year to raise funds for the Berkeley Foundation, on Sunday 4 September I will be taking part in the London Duathlon Ultra event in Richmond Park. This comprises a gruelling 20k run, 77k bike ride and a 10k run, which should take about 6 hours to complete!
I have been training hard but this is still going to be really tough!
Any sponsorship raised will be matched by the Berkeley Group. This is a fantastic opportunity to support Vauxhall City Farm which needs support to expand the riding school which provides riding lessons for underprivileged children and disabled riders
Any support will be greatly appreciated
Best wishes
Sean

On Sunday I completed the London Duathlon Ultra in 6 hours 6 minutes. Whilst there were over 2,000 people taking part in the event there were just 60 entrants for the Ultra format.
Whilst I would like to have finished in under 6 hours, after looking at the results, I discovered I was 40th overall in the field of 60 and 4th in my age group which is an achievement!
Thank you for all your support and a special thanks to my friends and family who came along to cheer me on!
It was great to see my colleague Henry Sensecall who was competing in the Full Duathlon and my thanks to him for his shouts of encouragement as we passed one another on endless laps of a hot and hilly course around Richmond Park.
Please remember its not too late donate if you have not already done so.
The monies raised will be matched by The Berkeley Foundation and this will help Vauxhall City farm to buy new horses for the Riding School which re opens in October
Thanks again
Until next time
Best wishes
Sean
