Adrian Davies is raising money for New Life Home Trust UK CIO
Hitting the milestone of 60 I wanted to set myself a wee challenge! I've decided to walk the Lhairig Ghru - 19 miles of walking through the Cairngorms from Braemar to Aviemore - in one day!
The main goal is to raise vital funds for New Life Home Trust; this incredible charity rescues and cares for abandoned babies in Kenya - they aim to find loving homes for those children through adoption, where possible in Kenya, but also internationally. New Life Home Trust's fundraising focus in 2022 is to raise funds to purchase a new minibus (costing £30,000) for one of their homes in Kisumu, Kenya. This minibus will benefit 15 children, 8 of them being wheelchair users. The minibus will transport them to and from school, to hospital visits and to social events.
My connection to New Life Home Trust is through my dear friends, Guy and Susannah Bastable, who worked with this amazing charity in Kenya for over 10 years. I could not think of anywhere better for the funds to go to to such a worthwhile cause. Any donations will be gratefully received!
