AES Channel Swim 2027

Following on from my own personal Channel Swim in 2025, a few students showed an interest in completing this challenge themselves. Consequently, I am working with a team of students from the school that will attempt this swim in June 2027 as a team relay. This will work by having one swimmer in the water for an hour and then the next swimmer will take over and we will keep rotating through the team until one of them reaches France. This will be a non wetsuit swim and the students will have to learn to overcome the mental challenges of swimming in the cold and deep channel. For some of them, they may even be stung by jellyfish. They will have to work as a team to support each other and they will have to commit to a considerable amount of training and cold water exposure. 

Currently, we have 12 students that are training for this swim, and each of them will have to go through qualification process to reach the final 6 that will attempt the swim in June next year.

This is a school team made up of children between the ages of 12 and 18 that will swim the English Channel to raise money for school projects that will benefit the entire school. This is one of the worlds most famous swims and very few people have successfully completed it. Please support our students and give what you can.
