After Eight Show

Event dates: 9th January 2011 – 2nd January 2012

MJ Stevens is raising money for WATFORD HOSPITALS BROADCASTING SERVICE

My story

The after eight show is broadcasted on Hemel Hospital Radio 1350am and on the bedside headsets of Hemel Hempstead General Hospital. This show raises money for Hemel Hospital Radio and an another charity, we do this by making the show no ordinary show; but one of endurance. This means we do the show over a grooling amount of time, for your enjoyment, pleasure and donations.

The idea for this show originated from a school project, but due to complications, the show was broadcast much later, after the project had finished. This then become a show to raise money for the charities that need it.

The last after eight show was broadcast on Saturday 30th October 2010, for 8 hours, from 9am-5pm. This included guests; Jenny Hudson, Steve & Erica Dilks and main co-presenter/supervisor Jamie Smith. We raised a grand total of £95 , which was split 50/50 between two charities; Hemel Hospital Radio and Macmillan Cancer Support.

The next show will be a MASSIVE 50 hour broadcast coming the week before christmas (to be confirmed) for me information email - aftereightshow@hotmail.co.uk
