AG 3 Rivers Challenge

Academy Geomatics is proud to host a charity challenge in support of Alzheimer’s Society, Macmillan Cancer Support, and Dravet Syndrome UK — three incredible charities providing essential care, research, and support to individuals and families facing life-changing health conditions. These charities are particularly meaningful to people within Academy, making this challenge a cause close to our hearts.
Throughout February, participants will take on a 50-mile minimum challenge — roughly the distance from the Tyne to the Tees — but split across the month to make it accessible for everyone. Walking, running, or any form of movement counts toward the total, supporting both physical wellbeing and team engagement.

In addition, the challenge will be tracked via Step Up, allowing participants to see their progress and compete on an online leaderboard throughout the month.

About the charities:

• Alzheimer’s Society: Supports people affected by dementia through research, practical guidance, and assistance for individuals and families.
• Macmillan Cancer Support: Provides medical, emotional, and financial support to people living with cancer, ensuring no one faces it alone.
• Dravet Syndrome UK: Supports families affected by Dravet Syndrome, a rare and severe form of epilepsy, by funding research, raising awareness, and offering specialist guidance.
