Sophie Wainman is raising money for FRIENDS OF AIREDALE GENERAL HOSPITAL
My story
As first year student midwives we have recently embarked on a new life rollercoaster and we know that care and compassion is vitally important to any woman's birthing journey but that comfort is also an undervalued commodity.
On ward 21, Airedale General Hospital, new mums begin their own new journeys on this postnatal ward and we feel like we want to contribute to making sure their experience is positive and comfortable.
So we are hoping to raise money to purchase nursing rocking chairs, a toaster and remote controls. Simple things that can really enhance a hospital experience.
Please give whatever you can or come cheer us on as we walk 26 miles from skipton to Leeds along the canal On SUNDAY 7th JULY 2013.
