Alfie's Sleepout

As you are probably aware, the rate of homelessness is increasing. In October 2024, Liverpool City Council reported a 40% increase in homelessness - with people having to utilise temporary accommodation, sleep rough or live in unstable housing.

The Whitechapel Centre is an "independent charity based in Liverpool working to see an end to homelessness, social exclusion and housing poverty."

They provide support for people sleeping rough, people at risk of homelessness, and homeless families. They work with some of the most vulnerable, isolated and lonely people in the community, and believe it is "essential to empower and enable people to live independently."

Alfie, Jason and Vanessa will be sleeping out at Liverpool Cathedral to raise awareness of the increase in homelessness and in order to support the hard work of Whitechapel Centre.
