Amanda Critchley is raising money for Kickstart Kids International (Uk)
My story
This summer we were lucky enough to visit Kenya, whilst in Nairobi we were introduced to Kickstart’s founder, James Woodward, he took us to the orphanage he has established. The whole experience was so moving and the children were so inspirational that when we returned home I wanted to do something to help. Swimming is one of the few physical activities I can still take part in since my condition worsened and seemed the ideal avenue for a challenge..... so I decided to virtually swim the English Channel. 22 miles in 12 weeks. It works out as 120 lengths a week of my local pool. If you could support this amazing cause that would be fantastic. Thanks.

Woohoo! I’ve done it!
22 miles, completed 15 days early.

Thank you to everyone for your amazing support! I’m nearly there with the swim... just over 3 miles to go out of the 22 miles channel swim target, so I should finish ahead of my target date!
