Ammi's Strictly goes to Hollywood

LESS THAN A WEEK TO GO!!!

I'm in the final week of training before I take on the Strictly Come Dancing Charity Event. I'm really excited to take part whilst also having to fight the nerves as the event comes closer!! The 6 Day count down begins...

I have completed around 10 hours of dance training with my brilliant dance partner Anton Du Cooke, with one more last rehearsal planned in this week. We are practicing our rumba routine and hoping it all goes to plan on the night!! No pressure!!

I’m so thankful for every donation I have received and I’m delighted to have just passed my target, so thank you to everyone who has donated. It would be wonderful to support the charities (Sheltered and Wirral Minds) as much as possible and if you are able to donate, it would be a HUGE help!!

Thank you so much for the donations so far for this years Strictly Come Dancing Charity Event, its hugely appreciated and will be a big help to the charities.

With only two weeks to go, I have completed four hours of dance training with my fabulous professional dance partner Anton Du Cooke. We are doing the rumba and I have loved every minute of it so far, even with all the nerves!!

The show is to help raise as much awareness and donations as we can for two amazing charities:

-Wirral Minds – Est in 1967 and provide an amazing service in our community to help people achieve better mental health

• Shelter – Providing support and advice to people facing homelessness

ALSO... my dance heels have been delivered today, so my next 4 hour rehersals will be to get these dancing feet in the heels and try my best at the RUMBA!

Just a bit of an update for you all. Unfortunately, due to COVID, our meeting to be assigned a dance partner and meet all the other contestants on 5th Jan 22, has now been pushed back to the end of the month.

HOWEVER, THE SHOW MUST GO ON... So no change to the event, this will still be on Saturday 19th March 2022 and tickets are still available. This just means I will have to work my socks off even more to nail the dance routine :)

I would just like to thank everyone for the support and donations so far. I have reached 50% of my target in just a couple of days which is great news.
But my aim is to smash my target to raise as much awareness and funds for these 2 great charities.
