Hair today, gone tomorrow!

The challenge is over!! And with gift aid on top we've managed to far exceed my expectations! You are all wonderful humans and the moment you have been waiting for is now upon us!! This weekend the hair will be no more and I will deliver on my promise and your generosity!!! I have also decided, that seeing how long my hair is, I'll be donating it to the same charity I donated Naveen's luscious locks when he was 3 years old...nothing going to waste!

WE DID IT!!! Thanks to my wonderful family and friends and their wonderful friends and family we've exceeded the target!!! Naveen officially has relapsed this morning so hitting the target today reminds me there is still a long journey for NS sufferers to face, but thanks to you guys we may be a small step closer to a cure in the future!!!

I said I would shave it all off if I met this target so WATCH THIS SPACE!!! ??????

With only 25% left before hitting the big target I'm reminded why I am doing this in the first place. The daily dip test has the power to fill us with hope that we're finally on the path to leaving the dreaded prednisolone behind us... or it can fill us with worry and uncertainty, when anything from a bug, an allergic reaction of even a wobbly tooth triggers a relapse, followed by the inevitable increase in the steroids....sadly we are looking at another relapse after only 2 weeks back at school (a cold and a wobbly tooth!) I can only hope that someday we will be told that there is a cure for NS. That the daily dip test lottery and toxic drugs will be a thing of the past and that we can get our little boy back xx
