Andy's London Marathon 2026

In April 2026, I will run the London Marathon to support Lord’s Taverners. This charity changes the lives of young people facing inequality by providing access to inclusive cricket and sports opportunities.
 
This is especially meaningful to me because, as CEO of Dorset Cricket, I see the positive impact that sport can have. We deliver Lord’s Taverners SEND sports programmes here in the county, working with young people who, all too often, are excluded from opportunities, connections, and a sense of belonging.
 
SEND young people miss out on so much, not because they lack passion, talent, or joy, but because the world around them isn’t always made to include them.

But when you establish the right environment, offer proper coaching, provide appropriate support, and cultivate the right community, something changes.

Confidence builds,
Friendships develop,
Voices become a little louder,
Smiles grow a little bigger,
The world becomes a little more open.

I have seen young people who arrived quiet, anxious, or isolated step into themselves through cricket. I’ve seen them laugh, lead drills, celebrate their teammates, and take pride in who they are.

That’s why I am running.
Because every person deserves that feeling.
