Birthday climb for my Granda

Hi all!

For my birthday this year (26th March) instead of the usual celebrations of going out drinking, I want to use the time to raise funds for two charities close to my heart.

I lost my Granda to stroke in 2021, he was my absolute idol and best friend growing up, he always liked to make sure I was on the right path and I can't thank him enough for the life lessons he taught me in life, mainly that it is the simplest things in life that bring us the most happiness.

So this year, I'll be climbing Scafell Pike in honour of my Granda, it's not quite Kilimanjaro or Everest, but with a severe lack of cartilage in both of my knees, it sure will feel like it.

I've chosen to raise funds for two charities, Different Strokes and the Stroke Association, who are doing amazing work, having worked closely with both in my role as Editor for Stroke Rehab Times and seeing the support they offer to stroke survivors and their families.
