Angela Ackerley is raising money for Skcin and Melanoma Focus
My story
In May 2021 I started having breathing problems whilst training for my next triathlon. After lots of tests & scans i discovered I had Stage 4 Melanoma; skin cancer had metastasized to my lung without me knowing!
I started on targeted therapy in the July and against the odds the treatment worked amazingly well and is still working nearly 3 years down the line.
I've received a lot of support along the way so I am raising funds for these two amazing charities who help people like me every day......also it'll give me a kick up the backside to exercise more!

So far I have covered 211 miles walking, running, cycling, swimming & paddle boarding and will be working hard to clock up a few more miles before the end of the month.
The picture is of my latest activity....a 5.5 mile walk around the gorgeous North Yorkshire moors.
