Remembering Anne

On 5 February 2021, we said goodbye to Mum after a period of deteriorating ill-health. Many of you will be aware that she suffered from dementia. Therefore, we wish to support the local service that supported her so ably for several years. Linlithgow Day Care Centre is a fantastic charity which offered this partnership and we wish to ensure that it will continue to be a lifeline to many other people in the future, as it was to us.

Fondly known to us as 'Mum's club', Linlithgow Day Care Centre is a small local charity for frail elderly people with varying degrees of dementia living in the local area. Their friendly staff and volunteers provide a welcoming, safe and stimulating environment for their clients and provide relief for the family and carers.

Mum's club took her out for lunch, day trips and hosted games such as bingo, in which mum won small prizes like chocolate - most of which never made it home :-)

In memory of mum, we've decided to raise money for Linlithgow Day Care Centre. Your donation, no matter how big or how small, will be gratefully received and will allow the charity to continue supporting local people and their families in the future.
