ANNETTE'S MAY MARATHON

I intend to walk at least the length of one Marathon during the month of May. In aid of the Bolton Children's Opportunity Group (COG).

COG provides a variety of services for families of children with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND), aged from approx. 6 weeks to 25 yrs.

All COG's services are primarily concerned with children with SEND but provide integrated sessions for children with and without special needs.

• Mother & Baby sessions for parents of children from 6 weeks to 2 years of age.
• Play sessions for children 2 years to school age.
• An SEND high needs base for children on the Autistic Spectrum.
• A Nurture Group for children from Reception & Year 1 Primary.
• Bolton Information & Advisory Service (SEND) a service commissioned by Bolton Council, providing independent advice and support to families with children with SEND from birth to 25 years.

COG has been running since 1979, and has provided support for thousands of children and their parents and carers over the years, but is finding it increasingly difficult to make ends meet.
