Art Action Support for Japan is raising money for Arts Centre Group
My story
Since its inception in 2012, ArtAction UK has been supporting artists who have been dealing with the aftermath of 2011 earthquake, tsunami and subsequent Fukushima nuclear fallout in Japan.
Our residency project in the UK provides artists time and space to deal with the complex issues thrown up by the disaster. By profiling and giving exposure to young and emerging artists, we have been able to highlight wider environmental and political issues, and to develop closer links between our communities.
