Avril & Vicky's Leeds Marathon

Inspired by Kevin Sinfield's epic running challenges, and a love of Rugby League, we decided to to join in the fundraising efforts for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) by running our first (and maybe last!) very hilly marathon. The physical and mental challenge we will go through is nothing compared to what those diagnosed with the illness and their families have to go through on a daily basis.

Every day six people are diagnosed with MND; sadly a third will die within a year; half within two years of prognosis. This disease is not incurable, it's underfunded. We have chosen to support both the MND Association as well as the Leeds Hospital Charity, who want raise £5 million to build The Rob Burrow Centre for Motor Neurone Disease, a state-of-of-the-art purpose-built care centre of excellence for those living in and around the Leeds area.

Please donate to help us get up the hills and cross the finish line, whilst helping to provide much needed funding to find a cure and give patients the care they need when they need it.
