Our story
For those that don't know of our team, Citywatch is Southampton's CCTV and Highways Control Room. We pride ourselves in making Southampton a safer place for everyone. Working for Balfour Beatty and in partnership with Southampton City Council we monitor the city to help detect and prevent crime, to monitor public safety and keep the cities transport network moving.
Over the last few years we have embarked on several walking challenges having selected a local charity to fundraise for. This year we have decided to take on Snowdon and raise funds for Yellow Door. They're a fantastic organisation who offer support & prevention services to anyone at risk from or affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence/abuse or other forms of interpersonal harm.
We will be setting off from Southampton on Friday 14th July to make our way to our overnight accommodations near to the Snowdonia National Park. We will then set off around 8am on Saturday 15th July and embark on Pyg track which is approx. 5.5km long and involves over 800m of ascent. Once at the peak we will make our descent down the Llanberis path which is approx. 7.25km long. We anticipate the round trek will take around 6-7hours to complete.
Thank you for checking out our page. Making a donation is fast, easy and secure thanks to Give as you Live Donate. They'll take your donation and pass it onto Yellow Door.
