Ben Nevis Challenge

Hi everyone, I thank you all in advance for taking time to read my story.
After helping out at Debrafest last year I got to bed around 01:30 in the morning, the pain I was in with my legs was extremely unbearable. From my knees down to my feet was completely swollen. Blood wasn’t circulating properly, unfortunately this wasn’t the first time I had suffered this, in fact it was becoming a regular occurrence. 04:00 hrs still awake, still in pain, the thoughts going through my head weren’t good, Ninewells was looking more likely if it continued🙈. Fortunately, I got some sleep and the swelling and pain started to ease off. DRs it was that week, after bloods and other tests done I was informed that I was now in the Pre-Diabetic zone (not good news). The changes in my lifestyle had to start immediately and it did. I have now lost to date approximately 2 stone, eating healthier, reduced my alcohol consumption massively and started exercising more.

I have been set a challenge to climb Ben Nevis before this years Debrafest on the 13th July. Preparations have started, with my wife and I climbing our first Munro on the 12th of April.
Myself along with some friends shall climb Ben Nevis on the 1st June (weather depending), it would be fantastic if you could take the time to make a donation towards a great cause.
