GEAR 2012 - 10km Run For Benjamin Foundation

Event date: 6th May 2012

Matt Parker is raising money for The Benjamin Foundation

My story

Well folks, on Sunday 6th May, I shall be attempting to run a 10km road race in aid of Fairstead House - a hostel for homeless young people - benjaminfoundation.co.uk/service/fairstead-house

Please give generously. The more you give, the faster I'll try and run, and the funnier the pictures of me afterwards will be. And most importantly, the happier the young people who will receive the money will be.

The GEAR is an exact 10 kilometres (6.2 miles). It is a one lap course around the centre of King?s Lynn. The course is on paths and roads, flat and fast starting and finishing in the town?s historic Tuesday Market Place.

The event is organised by the Borough Council of King?s Lynn and West Norfolk, which has associate membership to England Athletics. The race has an official licence and will be staged accordance with the UKA rules for competition. The race is awarded Gold Grading by the British Association of Road Races(BARR).
