Hackney Half Marathon supporting Up - The Adult Cerebral Palsy Movement

At the start of the year I had this wild idea that I’d get into running, so I signed up for a run to raise money for UP – The Adult Cerebral Palsy Movement charity here in London.
Rather than doing a sensible first step like a 5k or a respectable 10k, I went all out and signed up for the Hackney Half… 21km.

The only problem is I’m pretty unfit, and because I live with cerebral palsy the asymmetry in my body means my left knee is already feeling the strain.

I’ve been slowly putting the kilometres in, but there’s still a long way to go.

I’m running to support UP – The Adult Cerebral Palsy Movement, a charity that connects adults with cerebral palsy, advocates for better support and awareness, and helps build a community for people navigating life with CP.
