Berkhamsted Games 2012

In partnership with 9 other local schools, this fun mini-olympics day 'Berkhamsted Games 2012, will be held at Bridgewater Middle School on Thursday 5 July 2012, just three days before the London 2012 official torch relay passes through our region. Its focus will be on the sporting events in the middle of the programme, and the Opening and Closing ceremonies will showcase the London 2012 Get Set work that our children have covered in school to learn all about Olympic and Paralympic nations, heroes and heroines and values.
The Fund is being held by Bridgewater Middle School on behalf of all 10 Head Teachers in the Berkhamsted Association of School Heads, and all 2,500 pupils in their schools (from Reception to Yr9) will take part. The schools are: Greenway First School, Potten End First School, St Mary's First School, Swing Gate First School, St Thomas More Junior School, Bridgewater Middle School, Thomas Coram Middle School, Victoria CofE First School, Westfield First School and Ashlyns Upper School. Any surplus funds raised from the event will be donated to the hospice.
