My story
In memory of our amazing, loving, superhero 2 for 1 parent, our mum Ranji Uthayashanker, we are walking 4.7 miles from New Malden station (mum’s home town for over 40 years and where we grew up) to St George's Hospital's Maxillofacial Department, where mum was the Head of Radiography before retiring in 2020.
Mum gave and raised money to various charities throughout her life and in recent years, following a kidney transplant, she organised and completed a walking challenge herself, raising thousands of pounds for the National Kidney Federation.
We would like to raise money for two of mum's chosen charities; Save The Children and Kidney Care UK, as well as for Princess Alice Hospice who looked after mum (and us) with such grace and love in her final months.
