Bob Nowicki is raising money for Friends of Ash Lea School (FOALS)
My story
Ash Lea School is a very special school caring for children with a variety of physical and learning needs. The school itself is modest but the teachers have got big hearts and strive really hard to the get the best out of every individual child. As a result it is quite an amazing place. Friends of Ash Lea (FOALS) raises money to support the pupils in extra curricular activities and additional classroom resources.
I am not a runner but I am attempting to complete the Great North Run - the biggest half marathon in the world. This will be a really big challenge.
Every donation will be gratefully received and put to good use. Thank you.
UPDATE 16/9/13 On Sunday I was one of 56,000 people in a one kilometer long queue lined up at the start line. The atmosphere was amazing. Crowds lined the course and cheered us on the whole way. The weather could have been better but I managed to finish the race in 2hours 9min.
