Geoff Smith is raising money for Hollie Gazzard Trust, Linc, Gloucestershire Rape And Sexual Abuse Centre, Goals Beyond Grass and The Chamwell Centre Charity
Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting over 200 charities in Gloucestershire, helping to raise more than £125,000 to further their missions. This experience has shown me just how vital these organisations are to our community—especially the smaller ones that operate with minimal resources but have a huge impact.
Gloucestershire is home to over 2,000 charities, many of which are powered by small, highly dedicated teams.
These teams work tirelessly to support some of the most vulnerable members of our society. Yet, they often lack the means to organise large-scale fundraising events that could significantly boost their efforts.
I’m joining forces with Gloucester Brewery and Elmrep to host the Brew and Bravery Firewalk, a unique event designed to raise funds and awareness for five incredible local charities. These are organisations that might not have the capacity to host such an event on their own, but whose work is absolutely essential:
The Chamwell Centre: Providing life-changing facilities for people with disabilities - chamwellcentre.org.uk/
Hollie Gazzard Trust: Working to reduce domestic violence and support those affected - holliegazzard.org/(
GRASAC (Gloucestershire Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre): Offering vital services to survivors of sexual violence - glosrasac.org/]
Goals Beyond Grass: Using powerchair sports to enhance the lives of disabled people - goalsbeyondgrass.co.uk/
Linc (Leukaemia & Intensive Chemotherapy Fund): Supporting patients and families affected by blood cancers - lincfund.org/
Each of these charities has a unique and powerful story, and I simply couldn’t choose just one to support.
That’s why my firewalk will benefit all five charities equally—spreading the support across these deserving causes.
I aim to raise £100 for each.
By sponsoring my firewalk, you’ll be directly contributing to the important work these charities do every day.
Together, we can help them continue to make a difference in our community, one step at a time. Your support is not just a donation; it’s an investment in the future of Gloucestershire and the well-being of its people.
Join me in this journey of courage and compassion. Let’s walk through fire to light up the lives of those who need it most.
