Julie and Barrie Webb are raising money for DEBRA

Our story

Today for my birthday i have decided to raise funds for a charity that is close to my heart. EB is one of the most horrific disease i have ever heard of - a rare tissue disorder blistering the skin leaving sufferers in excruciating pain. Former football hard man Graeme Souness, one of Barrie's first football hero's, brought this tormenting skin disease to my attention last summer when he swam the channel to raise awareness having been reduced to tears witnessing the sad suffering of his friends daughter Isla.

You can watch this heartwarming video here... youtube.com/watch?v=fhFXcwr0Mcg

Next month whilst holidaying on the other side of the globe myself and Barrie plan to cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge and raise funds to help find a cure. Barrie absolutely hates heights but sprurred on by Graeme's efforts at swimming the channel, hopes he can cross a bridge as well as Graeme used to cross a ball!

If any of of my friends can share this post to raise awareness and/or spare a pound or two it will be very much appreciated and go some way to easing the pain of the many affected with unyielding pain.

I will match each £1 raised to double the donation to help find a solution for this debilitating disease.

Thank you to each and every one of you.
