Camino Walking Challenge for The Cotswolds School Library

🥾 780 Kilometres. 1 Month. 1 School Library.
This week, I am starting the Camino Francés - a massive 780 km trek across Spain. It will take me an entire month of non-stop walking, carrying everything on my back, to reach the finish line. I am taking on this challenge to raise £1,000 to buy new books and resources for a local school library.
This cause is incredibly close to my heart. The library was always a hidden secret garden for my children since they were babies. When my girls went to the BSAK school in Abu Dhabi, the library was their refuge, their comfort, the place you didn't want to leave, and a true time machine. As Dr Seuss so perfectly wrote:

"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."

I believe every child should be able to have a special place like that. A library is the one room in a school where there are no tests, no judgements, and no limits. It is a safe space where children can escape their worries, discover new worlds, and learn to dream bigger.
