Bristol to Barneville-Carteret walk for Off the Record (Bristol)

Welcome, let's raise some money.

On the 19th of July I will begin a long walk from Bristol to my namesake in France Barneville - Carteret with the aim of raising some cash to help two worthy causes.

The trek will take me from Bristol - Wells, Wells - Milborne Port, Milborne Port - Poole. All things going well that is. Then onwards via the ferry from Poole - Cherbourg, and finally a days walk from Cherbourg - Barneville - Carteret.

I would like to raise funds to help two charities, one of which is Bristol based and both of which offer support for mental health issues, particularly for 'young people'.

The first of which is Bristol's Off the Record who provide a space in which young people can voice any mental health issues, whether that be anxiety, depression or one of the myriad other concerns we can have from time to time. They can talk with someone face to face in a non-judgmental environment and work together towards a positive resolve. And importantly it's free and easily accessible.

The second is Papyrus, a national charity who's aim is to reduce young deaths from suicide which is the leading cause of death in young people.

Any contributions are greatly appreciated, if each of us gave a small amount as a collective we can offer a gesture to ensure that the help is there for those who need it.
