Charity Skydive

Deborah Cunningham is raising money for National Autistic Society

My story

Hi everyone, as most of you already know, my son Oscar was diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) last year when he was 3 years old. I had my suspicions long before that though, mothers instinct I guess. Like alot of parents, I had to fight to get my son diagnosed just so that he could gain access to the appropriate care that he essentially needs. But even with his diagnosis I believe that there is more out there for him and others within the spectrum. I thought long and hard about how I could help, even in the smallest of ways and what I came up with was a charity skydive! Ok now most people who know me, also know that I'm terrified of heights, but because I believe so much in my cause I also believe that I should push myself to within my limits. I dont exactly expect to raise my goal amount baking buns for a bake sale lol..JUST TO CLARIFY, EVERY SINGLE PENNY THAT IS RAISED WILL GO DIRECTLY TO MY CHOSEN CHARITY..if anyone is wondering the complete cost of the skydive and travel to Nottingham where it will take place is coming out of my own pocket! So guys.. please dig deep! I'm doing this for my son, and others on the spectrum who I believe deserve a better quality of life. Thank you.
