My story

To celebrate what would have been Dad’s 70th birthday this June, we are planning a tractor road run in his memory.

Tractors will be leaving South View Equestrian Centre, CW7 4DL at 9:30am on Sunday 14th June 2026 before finishing at Cholmondeston Hall, Cholmondeston, CW7 4DR at approximately 1:30pm

Spectators welcome to join from 1:00pm at Cholmondeston Hall. Refreshments will be held at the marquee.

£25 entry per tractor (lunch included)

To register your tractor please message Katie on 07966749038 or email maghollieshire@gmail.com

Money raised will go towards two charities close to the families hearts.

MCH Charity Baby Bereavement Fund
Richard's granddaughter Sienna was born sleeping in February 2020.
During those heartbreaking days at Leighton Hospital, our family was cared for in a clinical room on the main maternity ward. While the staff were compassionate, the environment was difficult; we could hear the sounds of a busy, active ward all around us, and sharing an entrance with celebrating families only added to the distress of our loss.
In September 2023, The Lost Little Ones fundraising appeal raised enough money to open The Meadow Suite at Leighton Hospital. This purpose built suite allows parents to stay together with their baby in a comfortable, non-clinical environment away from the rest of the ward.
Your donation will go towards the maintenance of the Suite, along with resources for parents and purpose made clothing for babies.

The Christie Charity
In June 2021, Richard was diagnosed with throat cancer. It spread rapidly, and we heartbreakingly lost him just three months later.
Dad's only wish during this time, was to keep doing what he loved for as long as possible.
He did exactly that, stepping down from his Case IH Puma for the very last time in early September. During the final weeks, The Christie Charity provided Dad with the very best care and dignity. The Christie Charity's life-changing research and specialist support only exists because of kind donations from you. Please help us give back to the place that looked after Dad when he needed it the most.
